A second expressway has opened to accommodate traffic to and from Capital International Airport, reported the Beijing Evening News. The toll for the new expressway, which connects directly to Termianl 3, will be 10 yuan.

Serving as the main thoroughfare for people coming from and going to the eastern and southern parts of the city, the new airport expressway will ease some of the congestion on the first airport expressway and the East Fifth Ring Road. In light traffic, it will take drivers just 20 minutes from the Pingfang Bridge at the East Fifth Ring Road to reach T3.

The new airport expressway will serve as an important route connecting Capital International with Tianjin Binhai International Airport. Meanwhile, it will also connect the Airport Southern Line with the Jingping Highway, Jingtong Expressway, Jingshen Highway and the second Jingjin Expressway.
